You Can't Take It With You

Watched a fabulous movie by director Frank Capra. Done in 1938 with Jimmy Stewart, Jean Arthur, Lionel Barrymore, and a whole assortment of other great actors, this film is a classic and must see!

The fashion ranges from expensive to average day dresses but it all blends so seamlessly together to help create the stark differences between 2 families. One family lives their lives by their whims, dreams, and decidedly good natured spirits while the other is the driven by success family. The film follows what shenanigans are bound to happen when two people meet and fall in love. Jimmy Stewart as usual is wonderful with a quiet amusement at all the events around him. Jean Arthur portrayed her torn between love and logic character perfectly. I wouldn't mind wearing her polka dot evening gown for a day or night, it just had ethereal quality of movement in the film. I found myself laughing out loud to so many parts in this movie, especially in the part where a cute kitten is used as a paperweight (only in the kindest way of course). Curious? Yes, you should watch it!
