Bridal showers. Some girls love it and others, not so much. Whenever I go to bridal showers I seem to lean towards very feminine and classic styles. Hence this outfit. With one of my favorite colors (favorites for now, they change, you know but now that I've said that, watch this one stick) coordinating the dress, clutch, and flowers I felt so natural, relaxed, and well, soft. I think the soft aspect may be due to the wavy hair and flowers. Perfect. So, whether you love bridal showers or not, the key is to put together an outfit that you love and that is flattering. Then poof! you are ready for mingling, meeting new acquaintances/friends, laughing, and playing the comical bridal games.

Work in the Sun Adventure

Shirt, Skirt, Hat-H&M
Necklace-Modcloth
Shoes-Target
Hair-Low messy braid

Just a quick little post today. Another day on set, in the hot sun, means I caved and bought a sun hat! Lo and behold, my face was not sunburned by the end of the day. Mission accomplished! Honestly really like the hat. It was odd to not have excellent peripheral vision and have to turn my head to see things but still liked it.

PS. Definitely lied, I can't wait to post the outfit pictures with the episodes of the web series when they come out. Seasons are changing soon and they are all summer influenced. To be fair, I did say that I probably wouldn't be able to wait. ;)

Political Machine Adventure

Tank top, Skirt, Pink Bracelets-American Eagle
Belt, Blue Bracelets and Hat-H&M
Wood Bangles-Nectar
Necklace-gift
Sandals-Target
Hair-Low braid to the side

It's here, finally! I have been working with some great people on a web series. Now episode 2 is up! Been saving the pictures of the outfits from set for the days the episodes air. Let's see if I can be patient enough for that.
As it has been so warm, dressing for work is a little more challenging. Running around doing costumes and being 1st assistant director, I need to be ready for anything. I need to be able to move and be versatile but then stay cool. I also love this skirt! The ruffled layers are so bouncy I can't help but be happy.
So Political Machine is a wonderful comedy. Please go watch and subscribe for new episodes.

Seafoam Dress Adventure

Dress, Ring, Headband, Sunnies-H&M
Bracelet, Necklace-American Eagle
Shoes-PacSun
Hair-Simple Ponytail

End of summer doesn't necessarily mean it gets cooler. So one must do what they can to stay cool. I love this dress. Could be because the skirt of it flows so well. Could be the color. Could be it keeps me cool. Could be I just love dresses. The why doesn't really matter just that it makes me happy. And of course we know, dear readers, that fashion making me happy is whole point of it to begin with!

Thanks for reading!

Music Monday

When I'm running around working and taking the bit of bad with the good and usually on little sleep I steal moments for music. This one was replayed lots on Sunday...probably for the next couple days...weeks. Well, a long time. Also, it's fun to sing.

Spring 2013 Fashion

Ok, dear readers, I want to start looking at fall trends but I can't seem to bring myself to it...yet. It's too hot. Today was around 104 degrees Fahrenheit, might have been more but I forgot to look after a while. So let's instead turn to Spring 2013. Luckily Fashion week just happened to help those of us not ready to give in to fall.
Spring hair and makeup trends saw a lot of bobby pins as barrettes, loose and undone hair, (my favorite) braids, bold eye color, and natural makeup. So as usual a mix of things to pick and choose from, if you'd like.
And so it begins...
